Sim Only Mobile Review – ClubTelco Mobile Plans (Aug 2016)
www.ClubTelco.com is an offshoot of Dodo Mobile and has taken a different approach to mobile and broadband sales. It works off a one to one relationship where you have an account manager to help you manage your account. ClubTelco.com boasts 60,000 customers and 120 or so staff. The Eftel brand is also part of this family now. The ClubTelco Mobile plans are all no contract BYO Mobile plans (ie stay for as long as you like, just pay the bill and leave). If you wish to subscribe to their services you will need to call them and purchase over the phone there are no online sales. I tried the service some months back and the guys were very helpful.
The program consists of both the ClubTelco mobile and ClubTelco mobile broadband plans. As part of joining, a $50 membership fee applies which entitles you to a range of discounts from www.infiniterewards.com.au. I can only assume the rewards get bigger over time as these reward programs are offered by most utility companies these days. In terms of the ClubTelco mobile plans, they used to offer quite a bit more value but this has slightly dropped of late. There is also no contract so you can stay for as long as you like. Having paid $80 to join the club you might want to stick around for a few months. The mobile plans consist of 3 starting with Club $500 which boasts $500 in calls and 214, 2 minute calls, 500MB data all for $30/mth. Take a step up to Club $600 and get $600 in calls or 257, 2 minute calls, unlimited TXT/MMS all for $45/mth. Finally we have the Mega Cap with unlimited calls and TXT/MMS plus 2GB data for $60/mth. The Mega Cap also boasts a handy $100 in international calls. A key difference between it and some others out there is that it includes $100 of international calls plus unlimited 13/1300/1800 and video calls. www.ClubTelco.com uses the Optus 3G network, no news so far on a move to the 4G network. You can compare the ClubTelco mobile with the popular Amaysim Mobile plans here.
