Prepaid Mobile Broadband Review – Dodo Internet Plans
Dodo Internet Plans operates on the Optus 3G network. You can get started with a Dodo USB modem for just $39.90 and it comes pre-packed with 3GB of prepaid data. Once your starter kit data is used up you can then recharge from as low as $10 for 30 days access to 300MB. The recharge options then step up to 1GB for $20 and 30 days access, 3GB for $40 and 30 days access, 6GB for $70 and 60 days access and 10GB for $99 with 365 days access tops it off (this used to be 15GB for the same price).
Let’s compare these options to Amaysim mobile broadband and Optus prepaid. Amaysim offers 2.5GB for $19.90 and 4GB for $30. On the other hand you can go direct to Optus prepaid and pay $30 for 3GB and have 30 days to use it or at the top end $130 with 15GB and 365 days to use it. Looks as though these Dodo Internet Plans sit somewhere in the middle with pricing, being neither expensive nor super cheap. The biggest let down is that Dodo remains as Optus 3G not Optus 4G which is offered by both Amaysim and Optus.
Remember this is prepaid so you can chop and change whenever you like. Simply replace the sim in your USB (ensure it is unlocked).
