| Boost started it a few years ago, $40 for unlimited calls, then Amaysim followed up with their unlimited offer. $39.90 for unlimited calls to any fixed line mobile within Australia. They also added 4GB of data and unlimited social media access such as Facebook and Twitter. This year they expanded the offer to also included 1300 and 1800 numbers which covers most of your support lines. This Amaysim offer is very popular and best of all so many people know about it because Amaysim have been great at promoting it. TV, billboards, online, print. They are are everywhere. Beyond the unlimited offer, Amaysim Unlimited is a BYO phone no contract mobile plan. This means that you can leave whenever you like however until you do so, you have a recurring $39.90 charge to your credit card which gives you access to all of these great services. Whilst it might not be fair to compare it to prepaid mobile plans, at the sim only level it is one of the best offers available at the moment, particularly when you compare it to plans such as Virgin’s topless which offers unlimited calls and text to anyone in Australia and 4GB of data for $79 (BYO) if purchased online. The difference between $79 and $39 is significant. Already the traffic to this plan on our site has been extraordinary.Over the past few months, Amaysim have added a mid tier plan called Flexi. For $20/mth you receive unlimited call to Amaysim users and there are plenty of those, $20 credit for your calls with a call rate of 18c for 2 minutes (no flagfall) and 9c TXT. On the data side of things you receive 500MB and unlimited Facebook/Twitter access.So if you don’t want to spend $40 for unlimited access because you don’t really need that much flexibility, go half way with $20 and make over 110 calls a month with lots of data to surf the web and be social. |
