| Exetel has undergone several transformations of its mobile phone plans. This includes moving between carriers Vodafone and Optus. The latest range of plans listed above include the no contract M Plans of M8, M15, M29 and M39. All of these plans are on the Optus network and come with unlimited social media access eg Facebook and Twitter.
The M8 plan gives you $165 call credits and $148.50 to call other Exetel phones plus 200MB of data. With a 2 minute call costing you $2.36 the M8 plan at $8 per month will offer you 69, 2 minute calls each month. Step up to the M15 and you receive $500 credit to anyone and $500 credit to Exetel. This means that for $15 per month you can make 211, 2 minute calls to anyone. For your $15 monthly fee you also receive 1.5GB of data. Next move is to the $29 per month level with the M29 plan. This offer gives you $850 in call credits to anyone and $2000 to Exetel plus 3GB of data. In terms of 2 minute calls, you can make 359 calls for your monthly call value. The final plan is the M39 plan. At $39 per month you receive 2000 minutes of calls to anyone and 2000 minutes to Exetel plus $100 for international calls and 5GB of data. 2000 minutes equals a 1000 calls each month. The Mobile A to the Mobile YO plans are run through the Vodafone network and offer much less in value than the newish M plans via the Optus network. Whilst the call rates are very competitive the calls credits provided are rather low. The only real benefit you have with them are the free Exetel to Exetel calls. Overall I am impressed with Exetel’s plans and think they should receive some serious consideration by users of this site. Particularly if you have a smart phone. You may however also like to compare them to what Live Connected has to offer (also use the Optus network). Live Connected seems to have more value (calls and data) but Exetel does offer phone support which you should probably weigh in when comparing plans. |
