| Prepaid Mobile Review – Dodo (April 2012) | |||||||||||
| Dodo relaunched their prepaid mobile range earlier this month and are heavily promoting it at the moment, and so they should. Dodo has a reputation for competitive offers when it comes to mobile phone plans and broadband access. However up until now, their prepaid mobile offer was actually closed and has been for some months.Relaunched on the Optus network, Dodo now has two plans, the Pay As You Go plan and the Dodo Unlimited plan. Pay As You Go offers very cheap call rates at just 11c/min (charged per min) with no flagfall and 11c Txt anywhere in Australia. This is pretty good value. Better still is that the expiry begins with 60 days even with a $10 recharge and increases to 365 days on a $100 recharge. There is no data included with this plan (which is a little unfortunate) but data is charged at 5c/MB which is pretty standard for many prepaid mobile providers today. A 2 minute call will cost you just 22c, so a $10 recharge voucher should theoretically offer 45 calls.The second plan is the Dodo Unlimited plan. At $39.90 with a 30 day credit expiry you receive unlimited local fixed line (includes 1300/1800) and mobile calls, unlimited Txt/MMS, unlimited voicemail and 100 minutes free talk to 50 predetermined destinations. Plus you also receive 5GB of data. With the data allowance this offer pretty good value. What I like is that they have combined an international call offer into the plan. I am confident that both of these plans will be quite popular. | |||||||||||
